The MDL-180HE rig was applied to the project in Oromia State, Ethiopia, Africa, for foundation pit support construction. Equipped with a 76 anchoring drill rod with a cutting-tooth bit, it easily handled soil, gravel and cobble strata, completing operations at a depth of 20 m.
